Carlos Lalin moved to Stamford Bridge in July 2014 to link up with Jose Mourinho after working under the Portuguese during his time at Real Madrid.
Vastly experienced in aiding the recovery of injured players, Lalin
worked as a sports functional recovery coach for 10 years at Deportivo
La Coruna before his move to the Bernabeu.
The Spaniard enjoyed a six-year spell at Madrid, one of which was spent working with younger players in the club’s academy.
Lalin is technical director of a master’s degree in injury prevention
in football for the Royal Spanish Football Federation and recently
completed a PHD in physical education.
