Highly experienced in coaching goalkeepers, Silvino Louro currently has a general coaching role at Chelsea and has been part of Jose Mourinho's staff since their successful time at Porto. He has also worked with the Portugal national team keepers.
In his first spell with Mourinho in London, he played a big part in
Petr Cech's rapid adaption to the English game and playing for a major
club. A new Premier League defensive record was set when we won the
title in 2005, followed by another championship for the club the
following year.
Silvino shared in the silverware success wherever Mourinho worked,
and takes credit for Julio Cesar's eye-catching displays as Inter Milan
won the Champions League in 2010.
As a player, Silvino was between the posts for more than 400 games in
the Portuguese league and played for Benfica in in the 1988 and 1990
European Cup finals.
