<a href="http://thechelseaofficial.blogspot.com/2015/04/jose-mourinho.html" target="_blank">Jose Mourinho</a> insists Chelsea have no intention of selling <a href="http://thechelseaofficial.blogspot.com/p/blog-page_74.html" target="_blank">Oscar</a> this summer, while he claims <a href="http://thechelseaofficial.blogspot.com/p/blog-page_96.html" target="_blank">Juan Cuadrado</a> will have a “fantastic season” in 2015-16.<br /> <br />
 Oscar has been heavily linked with a move to Juventus in recent months 
following a mixed season at Stamford Bridge, with the Brazilian 
reportedly deemed expendable by Mourinho.<br /> <br /> However, Oscar revealed in an exclusive interview with <strong>Goal</strong> on Thursday that he intends to remain at the club for the foreseeable future, and Mourinho has now poured scorn on suggestions that the 23-year-old could leave Stamford Bridge.<br /> <br />
 "Of course [he isn't leaving Chelsea]. He just signed a contract a few 
months ago. He's one of the players with the best contract, a long-term 
contract,” he told reporters. “A boy at 23 that Chelsea bought three 
years ago. Obviously we don't want to sell."<br /> <br /> Cuadrado, 
meanwhile, was signed from Fiorentina in January in a £26 million deal 
but has thus far struggled to dislodge Willian from the starting XI, and
 has yet to complete 90 minutes in a blue shirt.<br /> <br /> Mourinho, 
though, believes the winger will hit top form next season, and has put 
his early struggles down to the difficulty in adjusting to life in 
England. <br /> <br />  “It is different to play in Italy than England and different to play for Chelsea than Fiorentina,” he said.<br /> <br />
 “The player needs time and I am ready to give him time and it looks 
like he’s ready. I really believe that next season he will have a 
fantastic season."

 Ake visited a racing track recently to take part in three 
football-themed Audi challenges.</span></h2>

The players were split in to two teams, with Hazard and Ake paired up
 against Willian and Remy with the goal of securing as many points as 
possible. Audi, our official car partner, provided the vehicles around 
which the challenges were centred at a racing track close to the club’s 
training ground in Cobham.<br />

<span class="summary-text">After being crowned European champions for
 youth football following a 3-2 win over Shakhtar Donetsk in the UEFA 
Youth League final, our Under-19 players reflected on the achievement.</span><br />

‘It’s my best feeling yet as a player,’ said Izzy Brown (pictured above left), who scored twice in the final.<br />
<br />

The forward was an unused substitute for the first team at Loftus 
Road on Sunday, before flying back to Switzerland to captain the team in
 the final.<br />
<br />

‘I’ve won the FA Youth Cup and the Under-17 European Championships 
with England but this just tops it all off. It was an excellent game and
 I thought we deserved our win. To be on the bench for the first team 
and then come back here to play has been a great experience for me and 
I’m just so happy we’ve won the competition.’<br />
<br />

Midfielder Charlie Colkett (above right) highlighted the character of
 the team and credited the win as a reward for hard work from everybody 
working in the Chelsea Academy.<br />
<br />

‘We’re absolutely delighted and it’s difficult to put into words 
really. This is a massive competition on the world stage and we’ve 
produced the goods. I thought we started the game very sharply and got 
the important early goal but maybe we took our foot off the gas a little
 bit after that.<br />
<br />

‘Shakhtar are a very good side but we showed our character in the 
game and upped the tempo again at the start of the second half, just 
like we did against Roma in the semi-final. It’s days like these that 
you work hard all year for and it’s a huge statement for our Academy and
 what they do on a daily basis.’<br />

Striker Dominic Solanke netted his 12<sup>th</sup> UEFA Youth League goal of the season in between Brown’s brace and finished as the tournament’s top goalscorer.<br />
<br />

‘I’m a very competitive person so I love to win everything that I 
can,’ he said. ‘This is one of the best tournaments you can be involved 
in against all the best teams in Europe so to win it is fantastic.<br />
<br />

‘It’s an amazing achievement for me personally, to finish as the 
competition’s top goalscorer and score in every round, against all these
 different teams and styles. You find a different variety around all the
 teams in Europe so it’s something special for me personally.’<br />
<br />

Solanke also reiterated the team’s desire to use the victory as a 
springboard heading into next week’s FA Youth Cup final against 
Manchester City and emphasised the players would be determined to defend
 their European crown next season, with just two of the starting 11 in 
the final graduating from the Under-19 age group in the summer.<br />
<br />

‘We’ve got strong teams at every age group at Chelsea. Losing Andreas
 Christensen and Ruben Loftus-Cheek will be a loss to us next season but
 we’ll be looking forward to coming back and defending our title next 
year.’<br />

Loftus-Cheek (pictured above) echoed his 
manager’s sentiments ithat the best team on the day and in the whole 
competition had won the title.<br />

‘It was a tough game in which we had to really dig in. Going 1-0 up 
and then conceding, you have to be strong mentally to deal with that and
 go away. Having been in finals before, we’re all used to that pressure.<br />
<br />

‘It was difficult at times defensively because Shakhtar’s rotation 
was very good but we dealt with it well. It’s a massive well done to 
everyone; to win nine out of 10 games in the competition is a brilliant 
achievement and shows our quality all the way through.’<br />

Thibaut Courtois is the latest <i>Chelsea</i>
 cover star, and in the feature interview with the club’s magazine this 
month he discusses his childhood, life as a goalkeeper at Chelsea and 
the significance of the collective.<br />
<br />

Following three seasons on loan at Atletico Madrid in La Liga, 
Courtois has had an excellent first season at Stamford Bridge, 
impressing Blues supporters with his aerial dominance and shot-stopping 
ability.<br />
<br />

At the age of just 22, Courtois has already won plenty in the world 
of football but as he explains to the club magazine – available now in 
digital and print format – his hunger to keep lifting trophies remains 
as strong as ever.<br />
<br />

‘Last season, I was part of a team who lost the Champions League in 
the last minute, so that’s something I still want to win, and to be able
 to play for a Premier League title every season is also a big 
motivation,’ he says.<br />
<br />

‘To win a European Championship or a World Cup with Belgium is 
another goal. But, it is true, when I was a young kid I dreamed of 
playing in finals and it’s nice to have won the Europa League and Super 
Cup, and won a final against Real Madrid, but hopefully I can achieve 
much more now.<br />
<br />

‘Every year I’ve won one trophy, so it’s nice we won the one at 
Wembley. But, of course, the Premier League would be much bigger so 
hopefully we can add that this season.<br />
<br />

‘It’s nice to get individually recognised, but you only do that if 
your team is doing well. Of course, if the goalkeeper is playing well, 
then it helps the team also to get trophies – but football is a 
collective sport, so I would give up all my individual trophies to be 
able to win a Premier League, Champions League or a World Cup. The team 
victories and trophies are always more important than the individual 
ones.’<br />
<br />

With much of the focus of our season so far centred on the attacking 
play of the team, it is easy to forget the good work done by the 
defence. We have conceded the second fewest goals in the league and, 
between Courtois and Petr Cech, kept the second highest amount of clean 
sheets.<br />

Courtois explains what it is like being 
between the sticks at a club who spend most of the time in the 
opposition half of the pitch.<br />
<br />

‘I think it’s true that, if you play for a top team to win 
championships, the goalkeeper has to interfere less and there are always
 players who shine more in the team, like the strikers,’ he notes.<br />
<br />

‘As a goalkeeper, you might only have to make one or two saves a game
 – but sometimes really important ones – so, of course, it’s nice that 
people see it and recognise it.<br />
<br />

‘The concentration as a goalkeeper needs to be very high. We work on 
the focus in training and it’s good because, in big teams, one save 
maybe in minute 88 can be decisive, so it’s very important.’<br />
<br />

<b>Khaki Cup Final remembered</b><br />

Ahead of the 100<sup>th</sup> anniversary of our first ever appearance in an FA Cup final, <i>Chelsea</i> looks back on the only such occasion that took place during the First World War.<br />
